The goings-on outside my window
or "Tango in the Tanglewood".
I wasn't quite quick enough to get a perfect shot. My shutter speed was a little slow at 1/360. The frame just before this one was in better focus, but cut off part of the male's wing.
Oh well, this guy seems randy enough that he may give me another opportunity.
Edit: replaced original image with a version more to my liking

A great capture despite your caveats.

Re: The goings-on outside my window
Thanks, Dan. I reprocessed the original, which I found a little too dark.

Re: The goings-on outside my window
Very nice image; the blurred effect of the fast moving wing adds to the briskness of the subject....

Thanks, Nanda. "Brisk" is an apt term. Ergo the need for quick reflexes...

Another nicely composed and executed bird image, Janis.
The birds are well captured and I do feel that the moving wings make this image work well. The female is well hidden and I did not notice her at first...

Re: The goings-on outside my window
Thanks, Manfred. I like the motion blur as well.
