I really like this and its mild colour scheme
I think I like it .... The symetry of the balloons offsets, (as you say yourself), the chaos of the reflected scene.
The more I look at it, the more I get drawn into the image trying to decipher details. In particular I am intrigued that I cannot see a reflection of the photographer??
It's a little confusing, and I'm guessing that people will tell you that it violates some "rules", but I really like this. It's a very interesting image, with a lot to look at. People will often say that an image neeeds a clear single focus, but like all rules, it has exceptions. I like wandering around this image, looking at all of the chaotic detail.
How did you process this? Looks a little oversharpened to me (e.g., the halos around the baloons), but that might just be the nature of the reflections. If you did sharpen a lot, you might experiment with backing off a little and seeing how the results compare.
Hi Dan, I used the basic photo editor that came with my windows computer. Choose a filter and threw some sliders. For some photos, I keep it simple to get a quick result.
My camera broke and I took this shot on my cell phone walking to the repair shop. I also got some good shots of the 42nd Street Library, but I found this image to be strangely interesting. Thank you for looking and commenting.
i like this image a lot, colors of balloons are really nice and i like how top row correspond in colors of rest of image and bottom ones are in nice contrast with it. Interesting picture.
Thank you, David, for looking and responding. The pattern of the balloons caught my eye and that's what I photographed, taking no notice of the reflections.
Where is the photographer's reflection? Within the middle chair, you can see the bottom of my pants and a shoe. I don't know or understand why it came out that way.
