    I've moved this image into a forum where you are more likely to get comments on it.

    Does the image fall into the low key category. I would have to say yes. Exposure is okay, composition is too, but the largest fault that I find is that the right hand side merges with the background and that is a bit problematic. A bit more light (think rim lighting) would have resulted in a more effective image.

    If the purpose f the image is as an example of Low Key, then it is an adequate example for a student whose main genre of photography is portrait and is lately practicing still life photography: However this is not really Still Life, it tends towards Product Photography and as such, as already suggested, a touch of Rim Light would assist.

    However, if the purpose of the image is something other, then more information would assist a more detailed response.
