    One for Harry Potter fans!

It may be a generation thing but this scene is about the viaduct construction and the steam engine rather than the books/film that used it as props. Though I suspect that many of the visitors who visit Glenfinnan do so because of the Harry Potter connection.

    Your C&C welcomed.

I've always dreamed of taking this kind of photo.

Looks good to me. Possibly a fraction tight on the left side but nothing to worry about.

Maybe there is another crop option. Crop tighter on the left to show about one and a half carriages and concentrate more on the engine. It depends on what was your intention with this scene.

Nice one, Peter, and what a great scene!

I too would have preferred more in the frame at left and a bit more at the top to bring the steam down a bit.

It is reminiscent of a trip made long ago from Paddington to Edinburgh - hours and hours aboard a well-packed train ...

Beautiful image Peter. Reminds me of 18 months back when I was lucky enough to spend the day being transported around on the Flying Scotsman

Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. Having looked at the raw file sadly there was no extra data at the left of the frame. However an earlier image had, I decided to process that one and try to incorporate your suggestions with my chosen crop. I have added the new image in to the first post in this thread.

Your comments on the second image are welcomed.

Thanks for commenting Geoff, I didn't crop the left side of the image as the left side of the frame is what you see in the image. However I did crop the top bottom and right sides. I have posted another image of the scene that has a better (IMO)overall composition.

I would be tempted to crop the second image slightly tighter on the top and left side. Maybe somewhere half way between this and the first image crop ?
