    Mount Shasta

Such a beautiful volcano. Took River (momma dog) swimming and hiking yesterday.
Here's a couple of shots of the mountain.
Not sure either are great, still working on them.

Interesting shots Sharon, but they look like you are pushing them too hard. The blues and cyans look overdone in the background (this can happen when the dehaze is pushed too hard) and the building in the foreground in the second image has almost an HDR look to it.

You are correct Manfred, not sure why I am doing this. Usually I hate to over push an image.

    Maybe these are better?

The first set was overprocessed and the second set needs more work. The problem with most images is that global adjustments only take you so far and one has to start looking at smaller areas to correct. This all takes time.

Hi Sharon. I like the first photo. But why does it look like it's floating? Photoshop? I feel like I'm asking a question about something that should be obvious but it's not to me.

No I didn’t photo shop it to look that way. It’s partially why I took the shot, with the clouds and fog it made mount Shasta appear to be floating.
Manfred thanks for the comments. Time. Wish I had more of that LOL (and knew PP beyond Lightroom).
It’s why better straight out of camera shots are ideal I guess.

The local adjustment brush in Lightroom is quite powerful and is often all most photographers need. Try exploring that part of the Lightroom functionality, I think you will find it worthwhile.

    .
Natural... That really makes it amazing. Definitely check out the Light Room tutorials on paintbrush as Manfred suggested. I think you will find it to be fun. And if you have any questions, just ask. 😊
