    Raymond - good potential here, but you seem to be pushing too hard and pushing your luck.

    In both images, the subject is not sharp and you appear to have pushed the saturation too hard in post.

    Hi Raymond, Did you use a flash mounted on the camera? I'm a bit puzzled why the foliage in front and behind the insect (a cicada?) is so much brighter than than the main subject.
    I have occasionally used flash to 'pull' athe subject out of the background but in this image the falloff in illumination seems seems rather large andt the insect's brightness seems to be inconsistent with it's central location.

    james I did that with intent to be dramatic, yes I have these same captures in a more conservative approach.

    I feel if you pull down the green somewhat and adjust the brightness, both these images can be improved
