    Good capture. Looks like pollen to me.

    I agree with Ted: the way you are posting images makes them hard to see. I don't follow the threads on how to post images here because the way I do it is very simple: I post first on my Smugmug site and then just include a link the the image on Smugmug in my post here. However, if you post a description of how you are posting your images, someone probably can tell you how to fix this.

    I did notice that when I view your posts in Tapatalk on my iPad, each image shows up twice, once as a viewable JPEG and once as a PNG that can't be displayed. That may be a hint as to what's going wrong.

    Hi Dan i just go to post new thread then upload on manage attachments and i only use jpeg

    Definitely pollen grains.

    An interesting fly. Looks like one of the Empis species but not E. tessellata. I would need some other angles before attempting a real identification. This is a rather tricky area and there are a few rather similar families; but it is from that general group.
