Patterns in a ceiling
Also at Mass MoCA. The patterns caught my eye, so I lay down on the floor and tried a few shots.
The policy at Mass MoCA is that you are free to photograph most parts of the museum, but (1) you can't carry any tripod or monopod, and (2) in theory, you should not bring a MILC, although they seem to make an exception if you don't carry additional lenses. So, everything has to be hand-held, and the lighting isn't always good. This was relatively easy in terms of lighting: ISO only 400, 24mm, 1/20, f/7.1 The IS was sufficient that I didn't need to boost ISO more.
