That made me smile, I'm always amazed by how an artist comes up with a idea for a piece of artwork of this nature.

My dog could do this if I had one.

I'm just amazed that a group of people got together and agreed to put this on their property. It's a full-size cab to give you an idea of how big it is. I figured they used a cab instead of a ball because it is NYC.

Did a google search and found out why it's there. It was put there to make kids smile.

"Midtown is now home to a 30-foot sculpture of a Dalmatian balancing a real New York City taxi cab on its nose. The permanent piece is located outside the Hassenfeld Children's Hospital within NYU Langone's Kimmel Pavilion at 34th Street and First Avenue. " There since 2018.

An example of how an explanation can change how we see something.

Well, I'm still kind of a kid, and I smiled
Great idea and photograph. We need more of this in the world.

Wile I can't tell from the image, I don't see enough dents in the cab for it to look like a "real" NYC taxi cab. The one thing I remember from all of my NYC visits is the large number of dents and other related damage the cabs had.

Thanks, Sharon. It could use some serious adjusting. I only cropped straightened buildings and hit Auto. If this was in a small rural town it would be an attraction.

There used to be some pretty ratty cabs out there. The checker cabs were always the best. Built like tanks with two extra little fold-down seats in the back.

I have been attempting unsuccessfully to get my great Pyrenees to do this. All she can manage is a Volkswagen Bug. Guess I need a bigger dog

Aha! Now we know what dogs do with cars when they catch them!
