Helpful Posts: This is a reworking of an old image, I was never 100% happy with; an old still that is on display at the Suntory Hakushu distillery in Japan. It is located at the base of Mount Kaikoma in the Akaishi Mountain range (also referred to as the Southern Alps).
The distillery still uses the traditional distillation method; double distillation using a wash still for the first distillation and a spirit still for the second. The distillery runs 4 wash stills and 4 spirit stills.
