HaHa can you imagine . The flowers are ragwort must be something they like on them always lots of insects and butterflies on them

Very nice photos. #1 is my favorite, if I indeed can say I have one. The detail and colors are fantastic.
We have had horrible flies this year (despite keeping property cleaned up and traps set away from the house). It's probably the smoke and the excessive heat. They are disgusting, maybe not quite as disgusting as ticks, but pretty close.

My guess, Les, would be Eriothrix rufomaculata for the first one. I am seeing quite a few of them now.
Not going to attempt an identification on the Flesh Fly though. They are a real struggle with a microscope to get a full identification.
