Thanks for all the constructive comments , Much appreciated, Just thought I'd post this , This is the out of camera RAW image after loading into LR3 and just saved as a tiff , Then into PS for framing and JPEG conversion for the web, Nothing done at all , See we do have mornings like this down here , Admittedly there were some bush fires around the day before, Maybe thats what caused the very red Sunrise , CC Welcome and have a play if you like , Just tell me what you did

My mum and dad had a painting like this on the wall behind their leatherette and plastic wood sofa in the 70's it was the height of fashion and the only image that stood any chance of competing with the bright purple walls. The problem for me is that there is no subtlety or atmosphere to it and it is verging on something that has been processed with a 'acrlicyfy' filter. I see so many of this type of image from the southern hemisphere I am beginning to think things actually look like this down under.

On the positive side the composition is very well balanced (in the second shot). I don't mean to be a contrary old duffer but I find the image very flat like an acrylic fantasy painting. Not my thing. sorry
Appreciate the CC Steve, When I was taking this with some mates , We were saying nobody would believe the colours , These are hard to procees sometimes to create the light that was actually there , I always shoot RAW so I do get some leeway on processing , But I posted the Original file for you to view , Dont Ya love Photography , It's so subjective , Thanks for your input - Cheers Bill
