    Amazing New Stadium

My daughter brought my wife and I to the first Charger football game (with crowd present) at their home stadium. SOFI Stadium in Los Angeles is amazing. It holds 70,000 fans and can be increased to 100,000 fans for events such as the Super Bowl and the Olympics...

This was shot with my Sony A6600 and Tamron 11-20mm lens at 20mm...

Looks like a wonderful place to hold a "super-spreader" event for the COVID virus.

My group wore N95 masks and are vaccinated. The stadium had a face covering rule that most, but certainly not all people complied with...

    Looks like our vaccinations worked

I agree that this, "Looks like a wonderful place to hold a "super-spreader" event for the COVID virus."

It has been two weeks since we attended the game and none of the four of us have experienced any COVID symptoms...

I simply cannot understand why people are reluctant to get vaccinated.... Except for political reasons!

Do you know anyone who has died from smallpox? How about measles? How about a vaccinated person who died from COVID-19? Now, do you know an unvaccinated person who has been one of the 700,000 Americans who died from COVID-19? I know several!

VACCINES WORK BUT, ONLY WHEN THEY GET INTO PEOPLES ARMS!

One of the major reasons that people don't get vaccinated is where they get their information from. A large constituency now ignore the mainstream media (in part because of the propaganda against them by the previous regime), and they are thus subject to an unmediated and unedited stream of ideas that peddle misinformation about all sorts of things, including COVID. A psychologist suggested that this clinging to conspiracy theories suggest a deeper issue with engagement and trust issues on a wider scale among those so inclined.

This is very hard to fight, and in many cases those so infected by the ANTI-MEDIA virus are so indoctrinated that they are in total denial to the fact they are being misled. This reminds me very much of what happened in Germany between the wars that saw the rise of the National Socialist party. When Germany was beaten the population were, with some justification, blamed for their actions. However, it was forgotten at the time that most countries, including the UK and US, had their own equivalents, with significant followers. The fact is that human nature has not changed, and for whatever reasons, there are those who exploit our vulnerabilities and gullibilities to progress social, ideological and political agendas.

The only way to trust information is to check the source, the veracity of qualifications, and the degree of peer review of articles and press releases.

True, but that takes time and effort and it is so much easier to go with the views you believe in.

Besides, you might not like what you find if you actually do the research properly.

I always research thing thoroughly. However I also vigorously dispose of any information that is in conflict with my wishes.... I understand this is fairly standard behavior....

Richard it is certainly an impressive stadium. The steepness of the seating in the very top tiers makes it a rather daunting thought of having to climb them.

Too many people accept opinions as facts. Not surprising when there expressed as facts. That's my opinion.
