Tiny native bee
I rushed in to set up a bug-hunting rig to capture a few gorgeous green sweat bees. By the time I made it back outside, they had left, along with most of the other critters. However, this one tiny native bee remained. The thorax was roughly 1mm wide, and I'd say the bug was 5 mm long, give or take. Even with a 36mm tube on my 100mm lens, I had to crop about half in each dimension from an APS-C format image.
I’m not much good at identification, but I think it may be lasioglossum sphecodogastra.
