An Autumnal walk in the woods

My local camera club had Sunday scheduled as a field trip to capture autumn colours. We forget to tell the weather man and the day was overcast, cloudy and intermittent light rain.

Here are a few of the better ones from the day.

I agree. #2 is my favorite as well.

I wonder whether it would be worth cropping to make more of a line and central focus out of the fungi. E.g., something like this:

The rain and overcast conditions may have been less pleasant that a warm sunny day, but it sure made for some nice photography. Like the others, #2 for me as well.

    Thanks Peter, Dan and Manfred.

In regard to #2, at first I preferred the original as it captured more of the flavour of "autumn" but the more I look at the images, the more I agree with Dan's crop.

These were all taken with the Zeiss 100mm Makro-Planar - I'm loving that lens!

Some great photos. I agree that #2 is the best image then followed by #1. They both have a feel of depth to them. Well done
