Frosted Autumn Leaves............
Fallen Choke Cherry leaves after a late autumn frost.
Leaves are from the Red Choke Cherry which turn shades of magenta, purple and red.
Canon 5D series, 100mm macro @ISO 160, f14, 1 sec.
Comments welcome.

Re: Frosted Autumn Leaves............
Very nice. I particularly like the complementary grey/magenta colours.

Re: Frosted Autumn Leaves............
I agree. Having often failed, I can say that it's really hard to get an image of many leaves that works. this one does, IMHO.
Have you thought about boosting midtone contrast with a curve? I just tried it, and as long as the adjustment is subtle, I think it helps.
BTW, I only look at equipment when I think it's likely to matter (e.g., birds in flight and macro), but for those more interested, '5D series' isn't all that informative. Some in the series are quite similar, while others are not. The Mark IV and original are very different cameras. In contrast, I shot with a Mark III for years and now use a Mark IV, and those two really are very similar.

An excellent find, Len.
The original posted here as 690x460px and the auto-upsizing by CiC and my browser does it no justice at all. The frosting gets blurred. I agree with Dan re: Curves.

Thanks to all for your favourable input regarding this image.
Dan - captured with the MkIII in this case although I still have and use on occasion the MkI & MkII.

Re: Frosted Autumn Leaves............
The muting of all the various reds is really striking. The frost just enhances those variations.
