I am subscribed to the Adobe Creative Suite for Photographers but, my 2021 version has not been updated t the 2022 version. If my memory is correct (which it often is not at my 80+ years) previous versions of CC were update automatically or at least I got a notice to select the upgrade. How can I get the 2022 version. The nicest thing about the subscription service are the free (of course - we are paying for them) upgrades...

Open the Creative Cloud App and select "Upgrades"
From there you should be able to see your available upgrades that you can download

Do you have the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop installed on your computer Richard ? That is the app that automatically updates the other software (LR/PS etc)
Check that the Desktop app itself is updated.

The desktop Creative Cloud app allows you to specify whether it should automatically install updates. I have it set not to not to update Lightroom and Photoshop automatically. The Creative Cloud app itself does update automatically, but I don't recall setting that preference.
If you open the Creative Cloud app and click on "apps" at the top left, it will show all of your apps. Give it a few minutes, and if there are updates avaible, "up to date" should change to "update available"
