My 2nd attempt with my 500D

My 2nd pic from last evening. The front edge of the bench is slightly out of focus and I think it needs some photoshop work.

Good composition, I agree with Yegor. With a clear sky, the snow simply can't be that blue. A bit is OK for effect, but it affects everything else.

Over blue snow is easily fixed, George, but that unsharp area of the bench is more of a worry; which is a pity because it is a nice composition.

Were you possibly standing a little too close to the bench and outside the focus area of your lens, or is it just a simple problem of trying to stretch the depth of focus a little bit too much? It isn't just the bench, that whole area of the image is a bit soft.

I suppose a little bit of selective sharpening might help.

If it is depth of field, then shooting at a different angle to get you more square with the bench would help; but will ruin the bridge view.

Moving a little bit further back, if it is possible, might help to get everything looking equally sharp. But that assumes you are able to return to the scene, and find some equal lighting, not to mention the snow.
