Great shot! The highlights on the spanners are spot on in my estimation.

Another creative image, well put together Manfred

Creative and well thought out. I particularly like the drill bit for the proboscis. Very inventive. Someone needs to make these out of the actual steel component parts as they would make pretty effective sculptures.
Know how to weld?
I do have one little bugbear with this one in that the way the wings attach to the body isn't quite symmetrical which ruins the perfect bilateral symmetry you've got going on with the rest of the animal. Only a minor point though.
May have been swatted
clever.
Posting a note to Peter C. earlier today, I realized that I'd missed something. Mosquitoes are in the order diptera, that is, they are flies. Flies have only two wings, hence the name of the order. In that respect, this image is correct. Your earlier fly image has four--not to throw a wrench into the works. May be it's a toolbox bee. Or just artistic license...
Let's call it "artistic license". I tried a few things, but there was only so much I could do without warping some of the parts to no longer be as "identifiable" as I wanted. The fly wings were integrated to look as if they were one, but obviously, I did not quite achieve the look 100%.
