This is an image I was never quite happy with; it was a touch soft and the background was busy and distracting. The shot was taken in Ladakh, India at the Hemis Monastery that we visited in late January 2017. The area is classified as an Alpine Desert, so even in the heart of winter, there was little snow on the ground, but it was cold.

I sharpened the small amount of camera movement with Topaz Sharpen AI and then used the Adobe Neural Depth of Field filter. Both worked well for me.

I've just downloaded the new Neural Depth Blur filter after seeing this and given it a try.

First impressions are not bad. I tested it with a frame that had two subjects (runners) in it and it recognized the two subjects faces. The few errors with masking would take no more than a couple of minutes to sort.

Agreed Grahame - this is the minimally processed image before I used the neural filter and some of the other retouching. The background is quite busy and a double application of the filter with a bit of masking is all it took. The impact is far better than the old Gaussian Blur filter.
