Z24mm anyone?
I am about push the Done! button on a cart with the Z 24 in it. I have read a lot of good things. But the jury decision is still in the envelope. Any comments?

Looking at your equipment list, 24mm does seem to be your favorite focal length. So I imagine you have a pretty good idea of what you'll be getting.

Re: Z24mm anyone?
Personally I would be wanting to go a little bit wider than 24mm. There are three zoom lenses that start at 24mm and when I go to the Z system I would almost definitely have one of them. So a Z20mm could be on my list.
P.S. I was thinking in terms of FF but I think my logic would hold for a cropped sensor. The f1.8 is probably the big attraction in either case.

Re: Z24mm anyone?
I guess I will update my equipment list. I have undergone something of a change since Z came out. I like smaller and lighter. I do have a Rokinon 14mm that is strictly manual on the Z but that's no issue really particularly at that mm or wider. So I am selling all the larger, heavier FF Nikon stuff in favor of the Z. Although the Z 24-70 is tempting, so far just primes Z 50mm & Z 85mm. I am hoping Nikon will come out with a 28 +/- megapixel image stabilized DX body.

My first thought was the same as Paul's - especially if you're building a Prime LENS Kit, why not the 20mm/1.8?

A 24mm lens works out to a FF of 36mm; not a focal length I use a lot in my work. Like Paul, I have three lenses that have a 24mm focal length, for FF. I don't need another 24mm fixed focal length lens (my 24mm shift tilt is far more versatile).
