My daughter's dogs - Take One

I shot this image for my daughter's Christmas card. We have decided that a bit of grooming might be in order and my wife will do it tomorrow and we will reshoot and I will repost! They are really marvelous dogs and very willing to pose. Of course, I shot more than one image...

They are very well behaved and are fun to work with. Since my daughter travels quite a bit, my house is their second home.

A bit of trimming and some TLC...

My daughter's dogs - Take One

Each dog has a story: image left to right

DUKE: He was born in a homeless encampment under a freeway bridge in San Diego. The litter was four girls and Duke. Maltese Rescue California rescued the litter and put them up for adoption. My daughter fell in love with Duke's picture and her love increased when she met the puppy. We strongly suspect that Duke is a Poodle - Bichon Friese mix...

Our daughter does a lot of traveling and our house is a second home o these dogs. Duke has become the best pal of our Great Pyrenees, Serena!

OLIVER: Ollie, an undetermined mix, was rescued by our group. Originally, Judy and I had adopted Oliver but, he and my daughter fell in love with each other during her many visits to our house.

ROCKY: Rocky, a senior Yorkshire Terrier, was on a shelter euthanasia list because of some extensive surgery that she needed. My daughter paid for the surgery and has given little Rocky a wonderful home.

It is a wonderful life to be surrounded by both my daughter's dogs and our Crowe dogs....

They don't just smile at each other... They rough-house pretty hard.

No one gets hurt and the next minute they are cuddling together.

My daughter's Lab and my Goldendoodle were best of friends. Now Duke and Serena are carrying on that tradition!

We had a Christmas dinner with my daughter's partner and his mother and sister along with another couple. There were eight dogs at the event and they behaved great as usual!
