Cognac blending

The big names in Cognac are not producers in the strict sense, but blenders. They buy raw distilled spirit from independent producers and then age and blend to produce their finished cognac.

This is the former blending room at Martell. Now abandoned in favour of a more modern laboratory like affair that was much less interesting visually !

Sad to hear for this old geezer who visited there in the late 70's watched some boûles and took the Baron Philippe tour.

Now Maps sez there is a Burger King down by the roundabout (puke).
