    High and Dry

Taken in Aragon, after a particularly dry summer the tower emerges from the lake. Last time I saw this ,about 2 years ago, the water level was at the level of the top window on the tower.

A rather challenging light, but you have nicely coped with that potential problem.

    I like it.

Have you considered toning down the right-hand most bright rockface and reflection a little bit? (or applying a rather wide soft vignette to the whole image) I think it would emphasis the tower area and make it look more dramatic.

You're right, on reflection that area is a little too bright. It's quite a 'hard' image so a vignette is not the way to go ... for me anyway, but, reducing that bright rockface is a good idea.

Thanks Geoff, I had to choose a viewpoint and a focal length that cut out the sky completely which was a good few stops above the subject.

Really striking image, with a narrative that adds a nice element to the story told.
