White fronted tern
Out practicing today, photographing birds at Plimmerton Beach. Virtually all the shots I took were White Fronted Terns, apart from some seagulls. I have a long way to go, but here is probably my best effort of the White Fronted Tern. Please click on it, to see it larger. Only another 10,000 hours (9,998.5, now - to be really precise) to go and I will be an expert! 😌🤔😒😮

In flight bird shots are so difficult but this one works OK for me. You have avoided over exposure which is is a common problem with this sort of bird. The closest wing is well focused and from that angle it appears to be larger than the other wing which is a natural view. I always think it looks wrong when shot from an angle where the closest wing appears to be smaller.
