These are damselflies, not dragonflies. There are a few tell-tale signs, but the easiest from this perspective is the spherical eyes.
Both are good captures, but the bumblebee is in my opinion a really excellent image. I'm guessing that you were able to get very close. The reason I suggest this is the crisp detail, which you lose if you have to crop a lot to fill the frame with the bug. Compare the bumblebee to the hoverfly you posted yesterday. There's no comparison in terms of crisp detail: the bumblebee is far better in that respect.
Unfortunately, it's very hard to get that close to a hover, in my experience.
Thanks Dan i did mean to put damsel just must have had a moment there . i like the bee to i did get close it reminds me of Darth vader did you notice the the front legs on the damsel at the reat looks like a pair of ears

Good shot. I've had all sorts of insects land on me while shooting, but never a hover.
