Fukurokuju, Geta with Copper Mesh
Another cold winter day means more playing around with still life.
This is the Japanese god, Fukurokuju, sitting on traditional Geta shoes and loosely wrapped with copper mesh. Fukurokuju is one of the seven lucky gods of Japanese mythology and is easy to identify by his very large head. He is the god of happines, wealth and longevity.
I have the statue sitting on a pair og gata, traditional Japanese shoes and I wrapped everything with an open copper mesh.

Re: Fukurokuju, Geta with Copper Mesh
Hello Manfred:
Great image, but I feel it needs visual context. I would consider creating a composite with a Japanese-themed background. I tried it with this background from the web, and it worked well. Link is provided as a background example only.

Just noticed the link brings you to a site that allows you to download wallpapers for free.
