    Nothing dangerous. A Saint Patrick's Day Parade had passed earlier. Saw the Tuba Man waking nearby and asked him for a photo.

    Thank you, Dan. That explains why a few years ago when I was searching for one on eBay it never cam up, just tubas.

    This is something I know because I was a brass player in my youth. Tubas are held in your lap and have vertical bells, so they would be really difficult to manage in a marching band. I'm not certain, but I think the tubing length is identical in the two instruments.
