or possibly in the other direction, although in that case, you'd lose some of the more interesting reflections.

I played with this image a bit, and I prefer it vertical. It makes it look more like you are on the edge looking down. When you view the image vertically, your eyes move up and down rather than left and right. It contributes more to being on edge, in my view. I would also cut down on the planks giving more area to the water.

Original idea was to depict Walking on the edge. Vertical looks good apart from planks' edges. Thanks for commenting.
