    Smoking

I Went to the Wall Steet area today. Shot a variety of photos from bomb-sniffing dogs to the Brooklyn Bridge. I will be posting them in this thread. The image was cropped, and a filter was applied. Comments welcomed, and thanks for looking.

I like the second one best and the third one least. The only negative comment on the second one is that the crop along the bottom is a bit awkward as the camera right hand touches the lower edge of the frame.

The third one; shooting the back of a person rarely ends up giving a strong result. The image would have been far stronger if the runner had been moving toward the camera.

The first one feels a bit rough; the lack of detail in the person is not working all that well for me.

The first one is rough but the filter created a look that is popular with some viewers. I see a lot of this on the web. Not what you would call fine photography but filters have a way of saving an image.

The runners I shot running towards me didn't look interesting.

I also like the second image the best. I had a few similar images of the little girl.

    Thank you for commenting.

I went with the other image because her eyes don't look as clear to me in this image.

Original out of the camera. Just checked the file info. IOS was set to 26000. That explains a lot.

It's interesting how the filter affects the image with high IOS.

I call them filters, the presets you can select from in processing. I find them very handy for quickly evaluating possible renditions of an image. I don't know which one I chose.
