When did you start doing macro photography?...

I saw your previous ones and enjoyed them too. As much as I like it I feel the background texture is a fraction too bold. Have you tried a finer more even one?

I have, but found that I liked this look better. When I finish the series I expect that I will rework the background. I am planning to print the series on Japanese Washi paper, so the final images will be much more subtle, but textured.

I had no doubt that you would be considering different options. They will make an interesting collection of photographs.
