A photographic typology is a collection of similar objects, shown in similar lighting conditions and then displayed together in a grid. The technique was popularized by Bernd & Hilla Becher, a husband and wife team of conceptual photographers.
As I had recently completed my ninth image, I turned them into a typology to celebrate that my project is now half complete. It took me at least a day of work to create each of these "bugs". I've actually finished a 10th (not shown here) and I have started #11. I've shown some. but not all of these before as single images.
These are, from left to right:
Top Row - fly, ant, dragonfly
Middle Row - rhinoceros beetle, praying mantis, mosquito
Bottom Row - spider, staghorn beetle, lady bug
