    Action Dog

This is a relatively feeble attempt at a photo of my daughter's dog in action. I am looking for some critique, what works, what doesn't and perhaps any tips or tricks to doing a better job. In this photo, I am taking the picture and throwing the frisbee, so it does become a challenge in and of itself. The background is not the greatest, but I shot that way so the sun would be setting in Murphy's face. So, what do you think? Oh, and I failed to mention, he was on a trainer leash, which is about 8 feet long, and I had to photoshop that out, and that could be the secondary shadow we see in the lower right hand corner.

I would crop the left side to end up with something like 4 x 5 ratio or maybe square. Otherwise, I find the image to be acceptable.

Love the shot! Dogs grabbing Frisbees and balls mid air make great subjects. I shot Duke, my daughter's dog. None of my dogs are very interested in jumping for balls or Frisbees. I shot this with my A6400 and Sony 70-200mm f/4 lens using 1/1,000 second at f/5.6 manual exposure with auto ISO.

Haha, thank you. I enjoyed looking at your photos. Loved the one with all three in their Halloween costume waiting at the door. Made me laugh. Thanks for sharing and your kind words.
