Meca
No, not that one !
This is MECA in Bordeaux, Maison de l'économie créative et de la culture..
12000 m2 of space at a cost of some 60M€, housing a permanent exhibition of 1200 contemporary works plus a couple of current smaller exhibits.
When we arrived 3pm midweek, it was empty apart from two young receptionists who were too busy chatting to each other to take any notice of us until we attempted to use the lift when we were told to use the other one. No other visitors. The toilets were very clean - no-one to use them?
The building was fascinating. The contemporary art contents totally uninteresting to us, and it seems, to most other people.
The skateboarders on the vast sloping access to the central part were the only other people around.
Dont you just love being a taxpayer...?

Re: Meca
If Art is in the eye of the beholder, is it Art if no one is beholding?
