Sigma lenses with Canon R7 AF eye tracking

I'm considering getting a Canon R7. I would use Sigma 150-600 C, Sigma 120-300, and Sigma 70-200 to photograph birds.

I am informed that the R7 Sigma 150-600 'pulses' when AF eye tracking birds.

Has anyone got experience with the two other lenses?

I have decided to get the R7. It's on pre-order. Hopefully in a couple of months I will have done tests on the three lenses. Will post my findings sometime prior to Christmas.

Yesterday was the first day with the R7. I used it with Sigma 150-600 C with a 2x extender. I was able to take hand held photos of birds. The R7 is a game changer. Similar cameras from Nikon, Fuji etc. are much the same I guess. I will keep the 5Ds for certain situations. The 80D is already gone. The difference between the 80D and R7 is big. I'll not bother saying more because what I think about things is pretty much only applicable to me.

This is helpful, even though I don't do much with birds. I do a lot of candids of kids, who never stay put, and I'm thinking of replacing the old 7D I now use for macro with an R7 to use for both macros and kids, as well as for times when I don't want the weight of my 5D IV.

Happy you found it useful Dan.

Image from today using 70-200. Still manage to frame the bird wrong.

Today I tried using the R7 with a 600EX-RT flash.
I just let the camera do its thing. The result was the following.
    The eye detection worked fine.

There is a fellow on you tube his name is Duane Paton. He did a video for settings when you a sigma lens on the R7. Apparantly the settings take care of the pulsing issue with the 150-600. Hope it helps.
