    I can't quite see all the required angles to be certain of the second one but my guess would be for a female Eristalis species. Maybe E. tenax, but they have an all black hind leg and I can't quite see the knee area. All the other Eristalis have a partly pale hind tibia.

    The middle tarsus area is a bit pale, but not yellow enough for typical E. pertinax, although I have found them with rather darkish yellow colours and it isn't totally black either.

    Thanks Geoff I'll go through what's on the memory card and see if there are any that address these key features better than the pne posted here.
