Nice fun shot but such a difficult light angle. I wonder if you could go back to the original image and selectively adjust the light levels to bring out a bit more detail from the white areas while avoiding the shadows becoming overly dark?

A bit too far, Bruce. I was thinking about slightly brightening the shadows while darkening the bright white areas, all done with masking, to improve detail in both areas.
