    Forgotten Moth - Identification?

I've been going through some almost forgotten images from a few years back and found this one I always meant to identify. It was taken in August a couple of years ago on the Isle of Lewis and I've not found a match for it in several online searches.

    Any suggestions?

Have a look at Common Marbled Carpet (Chloroclysta truncata).

Rather variable in markings and Dark Marbled Carpet plus Arran Carpet could be possible at that location. But I suspect Common Marbled Carpet is more likely. There is some argument about Arran Carpet being a simple local variation of Common Marbled.

Thanks Geoff - the "Arran" variant looks close (https://ukmoths.org.uk/species/chloroclysta-concinnata/).
