    both are very good, IMHO, but I like the second better because the more complete reflection adds interest.

    Thanks Dan, Peter and Daniel for the comparison comments - pretty much the same as how I feel. I would have liked to have had a complete reflection on the blue one but there was not enough water between the wheel and the water's edge.

    I wonder, would raising the camera have helped, perhaps the amount necessary would be unachievable though, especially given the likely slow shutter speed.

    Thanks Dave - that certainly would have helped but I'm going to try and convince myself it wouldn't have been enough as there was quite a bit of leg room left on the tripod and I was using a remote to fire the shutter. Next time ...
