I joined the forum in 2009. However, due to increased business commitments and health issues I've not been very active on the photography front lately. I've finally taken the plunge into mirrorless with a Canon R5. I'll just use all my old EF glass which I simply cannot afford to replace. I used to live in Auckland but having sold my business, we moved to a seaside town, bought a boat and planned to travel to exotic places to photograph birds. Plans went awry when Covid hit and on our first trip to Peru I picked up TB which went undiagnosed for a few years. I'm struggling with treatment at the moment. Hopefully I can be a bit more active here again. BTW it's nice to see a few familiar names. Keep well. Mark.

Hi Mark. I've always liked the Coromandel area and think it would be a great place to retire to. A boat in that area is for fishing and should not be cluttered up with unnessaccary photographic gear.
However when I went fishing in the Whangarei Heads area I have to confess I often had a camera with me.
Good to see you back and I do recall you from earlier. Always meant to ask if you were involved in animal training just north of Auckland.
