    Bamburgh Lighthouse

This is the Bamburgh lighthouse, a rather cubist building with a hint of a couple of less than happy faces in the layout of the windows and doors. It is painted white and the paint is very clean, so there is little doubt about the intended subject!

I have attenuated the white paint just a little and endeavoured to bring out what little texture the light and surface gave me.

I have also tried to bring out some texture and contrast in the perimeter wall.

    Could further improvements be made?

Too much foreground which is dominating the scene?

Do you have any more angles which show more of the sky? Otherwise, I would be tempted to crop to a widescreen size ratio

This one has more sky and people walking by adding interest and scale. It has more sky too. It possibly provides a better starting point for some additional processing. So far I have done little more than straightened the horizon and cropped it.
