    Abandoned on the Prairie II

This capture is of the same abandoned homestead (ca 1920's) posted several weeks ago.
On this occasion forecasts suggested early AM clearing with the possibility sunrise would bring colourful skies. Stormy conditions continued to persist throughout the day.

I like this. I have a soft spot for old weathered wood.

If it were mine, I'd crop a little and punch it up. Here's a quick and dirty with a few steps:

--selected the sky, increased contrast with a curve, increased saturation a tad.
--inverted the selection to get everything but the sky and increased contrast with a curve, but using a luminosity blend mode to avoid boosting saturation automatically. It looks quite different with a normal blend.
--cropped a little from the top and left.

Thanks Dan, always appreciate your suggestions. I also enjoy photographing old wooden structures. This past September frequent trips were made out onto the prairie looking for old barns, grain elevators, homesteads and the like.
Will post additional images in due course.
