    Day for night

I converted this day shot of the Washington, D.C., Korean War Memorial into a "Day for Night" image.

Good composition Richard, specifically the camera's angle shooting along the statue faces.

For me, the loss of details in shadows is part of the day-for-night, since genuine moonlit shots have just the one key light (moonshine) which by definition is a small (relative to the scene), very directional light source. Thus a moonlit scene usually lacks the 'fill' necessary to illuminate detail in shadows.

    Cheers, Dave

I had this brighter to show additional detail but, it just didn't look natural for a night shot.
