For me, Daniel, the first image is a landscape with canoe while the second is a photo of a canoe. Which is best will probably depend on the reasons and uses for the shots.
Both look OK to me although there is a little bit of a twig on the right side of the first image which I would clone out. Also, maybe remove the right hand bit of hanging foliage?
With the second one I would clone out the hanging foliage in the top right corner.
