    Eternal hard drive for Mac

My wife loves her iPad but, is looking for an external hard drive to link up with the Pad. We seem to have narrowed our choices to the Samsung T7 (1 TB at $99 USD) and the Crucial X8 (1 TB at $79 USD).
The two prices are so close that they are not a consideration.
Samsung T7: USB 3.2 Gen 2 and PCIe NVMe achieve soaring sequential read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s, allowing you to edit directly from the drive
The crucial appears to have about the same specs...

Anyone use one of these hard Drives - or another?

Richard, I have been using Samsung T5 & T7 externals for sometime without issue. (albeit with a PC)

    Either is fine.

AFAIK both of the drives are preformatted using the exFAT file system, so either should be recognized by recent iPads without problem.

Judy selected the Samsung and we placed one on order from Amazon. It should arrive tomorrow.

Same here. Both are fast and great value.
