Great! Have a "photogenic" trip. Kerala is a beautiful state and the only state with 100% literacy rate. Are you planning to attend any specific Malayali festival?

This will be my second visit to Kerala. We spent around a 10 days there in 2016. This time we are going to photograph Theyyam dancers for a few days.

That was my guess. Enjoy your travel to "God's Own Country".

If things go well, I should post some of the images here at CiC.

Very nice. Did you use a tripod?

During my trip to India I booked a guided tour package which included transportation by car from New Delhi to Agra. The tour guide and his explanation were excellent, but the car driver drove like he was an F1 racer. That was the only not-so-good thing.

I think it has something to do with the belief in "fatalism". If you believe that god has pre-ordained the order of things like when you will die, then your actions on any particular day to drive in a specific way will have no affect on that.

My understanding from the Indian photographers that I know is that you need a permit from the Archeological Survey of India to use a tripod. No one knows of anyone ever being granted one. The site was so crowded that tripod use would have been impossible.

We took the train there and had planned to take it back. Unfortunately, it was running around 9-1/2 hours late, so we ended up hiring a car. We didn't drive all that fast.

I don’t think any photo can capture the Taj Mahal. It’s beauty is overwhelming.
