David, in LR you can change the masking colour under the TOOLS function in the Develop mode - other choices are green, white or black. This does not seem to change the colour for the OOG however.

As I mentioned previously, I rarely touch Lightroom and others may be able to help. Len seems to have understand what can be done much better than I can.
