Nice, simple, minimalist image. All that negative space is effective and the bright light behind the paddler has been handled nicely.
I wonder if a different aspect ratio might be worth considering. This looks like it is close to a classic 4:5 ratio and I suspect that this might be more effective in a 16:9 crop.
