Rudy is 11 months now

Our new pup Rudy is now 11 months old and has settled in really well.

For this shot I wanted something different, so used a 21mm lens on my FF camera. I got very close to him so features are exaggerated, but I got the cheeky eye contact I was after.

I understand your desire for an exaggerated portrait of Rudy but, I really like a less intrusive shot from a little greater distance using a longer lens.

For formal portraits I will most often us my 70-200mm lens on a full frame body and/or use my 28-70mm lens on my crop sensor.

I do understand and indeed agree with your comment Richard.

I am trialling some shots for a pet competition, and I want something that will stand out. I don't know if this will be it or it is just a work in progress

At 21mm, I am quite surprised that Rudy did not apply a large nose print to the front element of the lens....
