    one from the archive

The original of this shot is a 35 mm Kodachrome transparency that I took in late 1982 using a Pentax ME Super and a Vivitar Series 1 28-90 lens. If I remember correctly I positioned a flash underneath the glass and then, working in total blackout, opened the shutter on the camera and fired the flash manually while I poured the fizzy drink into the glass. I might have put a few grains of sugar in the bottom of the empty glass to get extra bubbles as I poured.

    I have no idea how:
    1) I figured out what seems to be decent exposure settings
    2) I didn't over fill the glass and thus get fizzy drink everywhere
    3) I didn't trip over anything in the pitch black when moving between the room light switch and where I'd rigged up the flash and camera
